Sound of Music

If anyone knows me, I love to surprise my kids and I love to be surprised. Garrett and Hannah told me they wanted me to come to Georgetown on September 16th, for dinner. This would be my early Christmas gift.

I met the Newlyweds in Georgetown at a nostalgic restaurant with delicious food.  They kept grinning and asking , “ Do you have any idea?” I said no, but I know it will be a treat just being with you two.

Garrett drives us and I see a Movie Theater and I say, I assume we are seeing a movie. Hannah videos my reaction of my excitement and thankfulness. Hannah says Garrett planed everything and it is the 60th Anniversary of the Sound of the Music. This is one of my favorite movies. Garrett said Ms. Davis your ticket is prepaid and our seats are reserved.

I enjoyed every part of the harmonious movie.  Garrett had never seen it and we three enjoyed it tremendously. And surprise, I knew every lyric, because my Precious Mama loved this movie too. I sang along softly and this time I watched it with Gratitude and Joy.

Garrett and Hannah are busy with work and school.  I’ll never forget September 16th, 2025 because they wanted to take Me to one of my favorite movies.

I’m thankful how my Family is growing. Again I’m in the audience with a bag of popcorn and soaking up their new beginnings in Life.

This is an antique gold oval frame of the flower Edelweiss. It’s one of my favorite songs. I hope to go to Austria one day.
