Often I would check my Daddy out of Independent Living and take him on Adventures. That cold day he just came to our home and he sat in Andy’s comfortable recliner with a thick cozy blanket, a cup of black coffee, and Mr. Pupcake in his lap.

Yesterday Gibson and I volunteered at Grace House. We were visiting rooms and one of the residents had music playing. I realized it was the hymn, Standing on The Promises.  The song immediately took me back to my home in Birmingham, Alabama in December of 2014. My precious Mama had passed away in July 2014. I played Alan Jackson’s Gospel album and this was the last song that played. Hannah was home for the holidays and she was singing a long too. After this song was over I said “Daddy that is a good one”. He said Dawn they are all good.

Yesterday I had joyful tears in my eyes leaving Frances room. I’m thankful God gives me precious memories of my parents.

My daddy told me one time, he said “ I know when your mama is Happy. She is singing”.
