Like Mother Like Daughter

Our Hannah Married the Love of her life, Garrett on March 15th 2025. Hannah and I were talking on the phone about all of the special details of her wedding planning. Hannah said Mama we need to start looking for your Mother of the Bride Dress. I told Hannah I had ordered one and she said send me the link.

I sent her the link and Hannah immeaditely called me back and said , “Mama that is the the same exact dress is in my cart I was going to send to you. We both had a joyful laugh and Hannah told me to try it on and let Lilly Grace video me. Once I tried it on, My Miss Fashionista , Lilly Grace said she loved the dress and Hannah loved the dress too. And I loved it. I told both my girls this is my dress and then Hannah said, “Mama you are my something Blue." I will never forget such a aheartwarming moment. It amazes me how my girls and I can finish each other sentences.

The first Bridal Shop we went to was a local shop in Austin. I have always heard that your Daughter will know and the Mother Of The Bride will know that the dress your daughter tries on, is the One. You both will be filled with Joyful Tears. We both had that special moment, but I could tell Hannah felt pressured. I told her you do not have to make your decision today. You have plenty of time. All you need to do is enjoy this Blissful season.

We looked at many Bridal Shops, though in my heart I knew the first one she tried on was the One. Out of the blue I got a phone call and it was Hannah and she said lets have a Mama and Daughter's trip to NEW York for a long weekend. Hannah began to tell me New York has their flagship store of the first wedding gown brand I tried on in Austin. Also we could celebrate Lilly Grace Graduating her Senior Year from High School.

We three went to New York and our first destination was the Bridal Shop. The designer is from Australia and they were so welcoming and kind. It was quiet funny having diffrent accents, we savored every special moment. Hannah tried on many pretty Wedding Gowns, but you could tell there was a part about each dress that she didn't care for.

Then the kind young bridal consultant pulled "The Dress". I had that Butterfly Feeling that this is her Wedding Gown. Hannah comes out and she is beaming, just like I have always told her, “You are my Sunshine.” I was quiet and listened to what Hannah and her soon to be Maid of Honor, her little sister,Lilly Grace thought about the timeless and beautiful Wedding Gown. Then Hannah looked at me with her radiant smile and said, “Mama I found my Dress." And i said, "I Knew it was the One the first time you tried it on."

The kind bridal consultant said Hannah you have been lovely and we want to gift you these lace sleeves. I looked around the bridal shop and all the clients were staring. The three of us will never forget the day Hannah chose her Wedding Gown. We expressed laughter, Joy, Happy Tears, and Graititude.
