I’ve hosted many Galantine parties and today was extra special. I asked my four dear friends to bring a card for everyone. My treat would be a simple lunch. I served a loraine and spinach quiche along with a spring mix fresh berry salad with strawberry poppyseed dressing. Dessert was chocolate covered strawberries. The food was delightful and made for a pretty presentation. My beverages were tea and water with watermelon to give flavor and the shade of pink for Valentine’s Day.
We decided that each year our Galantine party would be a tea party. My Galantine teapot was the centerpiece with perfect pink peonies arranged inside the teapot. sweetheart roses placemats are actually napkins and I used them as placemats. The feminine created a charming backdrop for my Valentine plates. The neutral timeless napkins with thin lace edging coordinated well with the assorted festive puffy heart napkin rings.
My most favorite part of of our tea party was the beautiful handwritten and heartfelt cards we exchanged to each other. We laughed when I commented that we were in Middle School again.
The simplest moments are the most memorable moments. I’m thankful for these four sweet friends that fill my cup with Joy, Faith, Grace, a listening ear, and Prayer, and shining Jesus’s Light.
