Confidence in Christ

An Instagram reel appeared on my phone this morning. It was a man interviewing women of all ages and races walking in a city. He would stop them and ask , why do you walk with a smile with Confidence? All women would respond: God, My Faith, and Jesus Christ.

After watching this, this Bible verse came to mind, Jeremiah 17:7. “ But blessed is the one who trusts the Lord, whose confidence is in him.” Once we trust in God, we feel Peace, then Peace helps us with confidence in our inner self, giving God the Glory.

This reel stood out to me as a Woman, because it was only Women who were interviewed. We as Women have a big calling in our life. We are so much to everyone. We are nurturers, listeners, fixers, Mothers, Daughters, and Friends. Though, ,sadly most of the time we do not feel we are Enough. Once we know we are Enough for God, then we began to feel confident that God knew we did all we can do. God knows our hearts.

My wise Daddy would tell me often, “Dawn did you try your best, and I said yes Sir, then he would say Dawn that is all a Horse can do.”God is our Heavenly Father and we are his children. He can take our burdens once we have the trust to give them to Him. Trust, Strength, and Surrender will give us Confidence that God knows his plan for us. Only Good comes from Him.

I’ve struggled with confidence for a long time, because my focus was directed toward my outer self, instead of my inner self. Confindence is not about being arrogant, about ego, about accomplishments, and being self reliant. Instead it is about accepting Jesus in your heart and then feeling Joy, Peace, Love, and then the Light of Jesus Will Shine Through You.
